The Irreplaceable Currency of Life

The Irreplaceable Currency of Life

The Irreplaceable Currency of Life

Recently, I asked some of my students a simple question: “What do you want to gather in your life?”

Without hesitation, they answered — wealth, money, property, relationships. Their answers were honest and practical. Yet, after hearing them, I found myself thinking deeper. If someone were to ask me the same question, what would my answer be?

For years, I believed I wanted recognition, success, and fulfilment. I worked hard for them, and when I finally achieved many of those things, I realized something unexpected — the search didn’t end there. The sense of completeness I hoped to find was still missing.

That made me wonder: What is it that we truly collect in life?

Perhaps it’s not just material possessions or achievements. Maybe what we really gather are memories — the experiences, emotions, and connections that stay with us long after everything else fades.

So while going out or traveling, instead of buying gifts or souvenirs, I prefer to capture memories. This has become my personal favourite way to experience life — not merely by recording them on reels or photographs, but by letting them fill my heart and soul.

My recent trip with our students gave me profound joy and wisdom. The linearity of time and its irreversible nature made me realize how beautifully life offers us moments of happiness — fleeting, yet everlasting when cherished deeply.

At MRV, let’s continue to collect happy and joyful moments together. Being a Happy School, we MRVians learn to pick happiness from every experience, to create memories that stay with us forever.

Because in the end, it’s not what we own that defines our life — it’s the memories we gather that make it truly rich.
