In celebration of International Yoga Day, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya (MRV) came alive with energy, mindfulness, and movement as students across all grade levels engaged in a day dedicated to health and harmony through yoga.
The pre-primary section began the day with playful yoga postures such as Tree Pose, Boat Pose, and Lion Pose, creating a joyful and engaging introduction to the ancient discipline.
Students from Grades 1 to 5 participated in a spirited yoga session. The session included energizing asanas such as Tadasana and Vrikshasana, fostering flexibility, focus, and balance. This was followed by a special session for Grade 6 students, encouraging deeper engagement with the practice.
Senior students, from Grades 7 through A Levels, delved into a more reflective and mindful practice. Their session emphasized both physical postures and mental wellness, blending asanas with meditation techniques.
The day concluded with a collective meditation session and a pledge taken by all participants to incorporate yoga into their daily lives as a path to holistic well-being.
MRV’s Yoga Day celebration reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence and the physical and emotional well-being of the students through the integration of wellness practices into the curriculum.
