On 9th August, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya conducted an exciting event called Youth Parliament which was a tremendous success!

It gave the students an opportunity to dive deep into the world of our country's functioning of parliament. The students were divided into 2 categories.

The Juniors from Grades 6 to 8 debated on the topic of ‘Tourism and Climate Change in Lakshadweep’ whereas the seniors battled it out on the topic of ‘Youth Unemployment and Skill Development’.

The day was filled with insightful debates, passionate discussions, and enthusiastic participation from all students. All participants wore vibrant traditional clothes, or clothing that their minister tends to wear. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speaker Dr. Paromita Banerjee Sawant, senior scientist from Indian Agricultural University , Fisheries Institution for her valuable insights on the debate conducted.

We thank our Trustee , Shri Pankaj Bhujbal Sir for encouraging and motiving the participants.

The event culminated with a draft bill being passed in both the categories with clear majority.
